The completed exam is due at the beginning of class on. When taking the exam, pay attention to the following instructions before signing the honor code: this is a take-at-home exam. The exam will consist of a number of score identifications and one or probably more essays on topic areas detailed below. The score identifications will require you to know, and correctly spell, the title of each example, the movement if indicated in the score, and the composer. In addition, you will be asked questions about the examples from the discussion of them in either the auner text or the anthology. Following each title, below, is a guide to the kind of information you will be required to know. You may not refer to the anthology or the textbook while taking the exam. You will need to provide your own paper for the essays. Score examples from the textbook, with page numbers, follow.
