Wine: generics usually have names taken from european land areas where the original wines were produced: chablis, burgundy, and rhine are examples. Distilled spirits: today"s standard product from many large commercial distilleries is 95% pure ethyl alcohol, congeners: other alcohol and oils contained in alcholoic beverages, liqueours are about 20-25% alcohol.
