Horizontal decision making processes, progressive stack and decentralized leadership refer to the different organizational structures these social movements experimented with in rethinking traditional hierarchical structures of organization. Society exists where a number of individuals enter into interaction. There is no such thing as society outside of the interactions between the individuals that compose it. Micro level of analysis: the focus of face to face interaction. How individuals in specific locations are able to interact in a coherent and consistent manner. Meso-level of analysis: the focus shifts to the characteristics of specific networks, groups and organization.
