Organizational socialization: a process by which new employees are transformed into effective members of the company: effective socialization involves being prepared to perform the job effectively, orientation involves familiarizing new employees with, company rules, policies and procedures. Not true: every new hire should require some level of onboarding, make sure first impression went really well. It should confirm for the person you just hired that they have made the right decision. If you want continuous learning you need people who will be willing for reflection and receive input from others. Just need to high the right people who are capable. If for competitive advantage it should create intellectual capital, basic skills, advanced skills, and understanding of customer or manufacturing system and self-motivated creativity: performance in current jobs, training improve performance.
