Climate and weather processes have affected humans for many centuries in several different ways. For examples, human acitivties are distrupted by floods. Prolonged droughts make the growth of crops near impossible. Heavy rainfall in mountainous areas may lead to downslope mass movement, such as mudlows , which destroy settlements and may lead to the loss of human lives. Wildfires can result in the loss of an important economic resource- tiber-and can also lead to the loss of property in regions where cities and villages are located near dense forests. Humans are also affecting climate processes through anthropgenic climate forcing, which is a change in climate resulting from human activities at a local to global scale. Example: the change in the chemical composition of the atmospthere since. 1750 which has impacted the equilibrium between the atmosphere, the ocrean and biosphere. Change in co2 concentrations over the past millennia, using different pieces of evidence called proxies.
