This video has the children comment on a number of items and only they speak. We listen to the younger generation to see what they have to say. There are ten topics the children speak out on. As you view the video you can see from the landmarks and landscapes, children from coast to coast to coast are included. They speak their minds and as we listen, we might be a little surprised at what concerns them. We see they are a definite part the canadian fabric and as such, they reflect and voice their thoughts on how they are contextualized in positive and sometimes not so positive ways. Researchers identify two cultures we can consider when reflecting on the. We are told that in mainstream society it is important to acknowledge the materialism culture and the nurturing culture. Both play a part in the children"s lives. The materialism culture speaks to cultural resources available in society.
