Canadian example of neoliberal attack on unions. Refers to the standard being the wagner model. Neoliberal government began making little exceptions to things in the wagner model. Example of this was the back to work legislation. When government was dealing with a strike can order strikers back to work, breaking away from the wagner model. Exception because the wagner model supports the idea that workers and employees can deal with issues on their own without being ordered back to work. Wagner model in particular focused on stopping these union avoidance industries. Walmart is an example, had a union swhat team where a team would fly around to walmarts that were thinking of unionizing and do anti-union presentations in efforts to persuade them to not organize. Supposed to be illegal to do this, but companies do it anyway because they would rather just pay a fine than have employees unionized.
