Can"t provide strong evidence that changes in an iv cause differences in a dv. Doesn"t mean its less important or inferior. Experimental research is good when: researcher has a specific question / hypothesis about a causal relationships between two variables, its possible to manipulate the iv and randomly assign ps to conditions / order of conditions. Type of nonexperimental research in which the researcher measures two variables and assesses the statistical (i. e. correlational) relationship between them with little / no effort to control extraneous variables. Doesn"t matter where or how the variables are measured. Data that have already been collected for some other purpose. Quasi" = resembling" thus, quasi experimental research = research that resembles experimental research but is not true experimental research.
