Cultural routines - recurrent and predictable activities that are basic day to day social life. Extrinsically motivated - dependent on whether someone else will reward appropriate behaviors or punish inappropriate. Gender role - behavioral expectations associated with ones gender. Instrumental conditioning - process where a person learns what response to make in a situation in order to obtain a positive reinforcement or avoid a negative reinforcement. Internalization - process where initially external behavioral standards become internal and subsequently guide the persons behavior.
