Frederick himself, as this happens, sits in a room in a tall tower and is drawn to look at the figure of a horse in a tapestry. The horse in the tapestry belonged to the berlifitzings, and further back, its owner was being killed by a metzergenstein. He looks away for an instant, and upon looking back, the horse has moved and its eyes glow red.
