Fracture ( disruption in the bone tissue continuity)- may require immobilizing the limb to promote healing and restoration- this temp immobilization may result in muscle atrophy. Mobility-immobilty: mobility: the person"s ability to move about freely, bed rest: intervention that restricts pts to bed for therapeutic reasons generally to reduce. Impaired physical mobility: a state in which the individual experiences or is at risk of experiencing limitation of physical movement. Immobility could lead to major physiological, psychological andsocial effects.
