All rights of women were given to their husbands. They also had sole custody and rights for the children. Homosexuality was illegal until 1969 (in canada) All children are now legitimate (regardless if they are born outside of marriage) Women are having more capabilities to be entitled to welfare. Early 20th century women tends to get custody of children because they provide ideal care.
