Often times, people don"t act on their actions when they say they want to do the right thing. Giving voice to values thought experiment allow us to create action plan, rehearse core message. Practice allows us to create default behaviour, moral muscle memory, makes it easier to act ethically when needed. Cultural, political, religious differences exist but there are universal hypernorms. We all make the choice to act/not to act on our values everyday. Many ppl use (cid:498)i didn"t have a choice(cid:499) excuse: choice, self-knowledge & alignment. Assumption: only bold, assertive, risk-takers can act on values. All types of ppl can & have acted on values effectively. Similarity: understood who they were, abilities; framed values conflict to play to their strengths: voice.
