Politics was viewed as the master science by ancient greek philosophers. All parts of our lives and society can be affected by the laws and policies of government. Availability of loans/grants to students, funding of education. Political decisions affect economy, environmental quality, freedom, etc. No universally accepted definitions for majority of concepts used when analyzing politics. Different perspectives about politics will affect definitions of concepts. No single generally accepted definition for concepts of: Can be viewed as feature of all organized human activity. Different members of group will have different views. What group does will most likely be affected by power relationships. Some scientists studying politics view study of politics as including all relationships that involve power (pg4) Political science generally focuses on making of decisions relating to governing of political community. Politics is the authoritative allocations of values for a society - david easton. Allocation of values refers to how limited resources of society are allocated.
