May seem to be thee but may not be the case . If an evil demon is deceiving me i must exist to be deceived. I think or i am are the most certain truths. Has one major problem (drawn from sections 4 and 5) Hume found one problem with philosophy that nobody has yet solved. Problem of induction (not what hume calls it) Induction is a form of reason that is essential to science and ordinary life. Hume argues that all inductive inferences are irrational.
