And multiple social personalities can be assessed, how we show different sides to different people: disadvatanges: they may be biased, and overlook negative because they are close with the participant, naturalistic vs. Artificial: occuring in natural or artificial setting affects the observations. Naturalistic, where they witness/record events that occur in normal course (can not control events/behaviour). Artificial, where they may instruct individuals to participate in a discussion or join a task and see how they behave (sacrifices realism but can control conditions: test data: information comes from standardized tests. To see if different people react differently to the same situations, indicates personality variables: some participants may guess what trait is being measured and alter their responses to be. Few traits can be assessed by these devices however: fmri, can show physiological data.
