Create a word from first letters of items to be remembered. : homes used to remember great lakes: acronyms. A system in which items are organized from general to specific (e. g. the textbook is organized hierarchically) Processing effects: rehearsal effect, next-in-line effect says that when we are next in line. We are so focused on our own progress. We forget what the next person said: spacing effect- spacing your rehearsal over time. When you cram the night before, you won"t have the best result compared to spreading it out: serial position effect- the stuff that comes are the beginning of the list we are more likely to remember, storage.
