The communication model (transactional model: sending and receiving are usually simultaneous. Often impossible to distinguish sending from receiving, communication model replaces these roles with more accurate word: communicator: meanings exist in and among people, messages don"t have meanings themselves, meanings resides in people who express and interpret them. Who i think you think you are. Who you think i think you are. Who you think i think i am. Who you think you are: environments affect communication. Environments: refers to not only to a physical location but also to personal experiences and cultural backgrounds that participants bring to a conversation: noise affects communication. Noise: anything that interferes with the transmission and reception of a message. Ethical communication: letting people make choices over own behaviour o, channels make a difference. Channel: the medium through which messages are exchanged (ex: face to face interaction, telephone, email, written messages)
