With age there is a decrease in production: within a day, the egg becomes fertilized, and development begins, prenatal development, gestation period is moment of conception until birth. Differentiation in function and structure takes place when they reach 100 cells. The cells take on different forms: bones, muscles, etc. Less than half of the zygotes make it through this stage; mostly males. At the end of this stage, the zygote attempts to attach to the uterus wall. The germinal stage (10 days 2 weeks). The embryonic stage (week 3 week 8). The fetal stage (week 9 end of pregnancy). The placenta provides blood, oxygen, nutrition, protection from environment, and eliminates waste. The nervous system starts to form and develop. The limbs form and develop. maturation and development takes place.
