Document Summary

This interplanetary theory of complete and universal gender differences is also typically the way we explain another universal phenomenon gender inequality. Gender is not simply a system which men and women are sorted by, it is a system of near-universal inequality between women and men involving hierarchy, power, an inequality not simply just differences. Every question surrounding gender in this manner must address difference/difference and dominance/inequality. Virtually every society known to us is founded upon assumptions of gender difference and the politics of gender inequality. There are two continuous explanations to these questions of gender difference and gender dominance: biological determinism and differential socialization. Women and men are biologically different our reproductive systems are different and what implications this has for our lives. What social scientists call sex differences refers to precisely the catalogue of anatomical, hormonal, chemical, and physical differences between women and men but there are enormous ranges of maleness and femaleness.
