According to a nationwide survey in the usa, 22% of women ages 18-90 reported having been sexually assaulted and estimates have put the average woman"s chance of being raped at 1 in 10. Also an overwhelming majority of these women know their rapists. Menachem amir found that most rapists were poor. Blacks were more likely than whites to be both rapists and victims. Rape is mostly intra-racial black men rape black women and white men rape white women. Today rape has become less intra-racial more interracial. For interactional (black vs white) rapes there are some possible factors: Members of an oppressed minority want to get even" at the white society by raping its women. The white dominated society has enshrined the white females as the ideal of sexual attractiveness. However, most rapes still involve members of the same race. Females of all ages are subject to rape (1-80) the age group that is most vulnerable is 16-20.
