Idea of a calling : just one best way to serve god do most perfectly the work of one"s profession. Religious beliefs encouraged people to make and reinvest profits and gave rise to work values conducive to the growth of capitalism. Control their employees who for religious reasons would be motivated to work hard. Workers are participants in a labour market where they can freely choose a job. Some are wealthier and more powerful of their hard work, smart choices, and investments in higher education. Essence of humanity was expressed through work.
