Motivated behavior is doing something to achieve an end goal. Psychologists view motives as consisting of two main parts: drives and incentives (or goals) Goal directed behaviour you feel motivated and you perform a behavior until you reach a goal. Drive a state of unrest or irritation that energized a behavior that continued until you are able to resolve the irritation (think of it as a force to your behavior) Homeostasis refers to maintain a balanced or constant internal state that is optimal for functioning or the body"s physiological processes that allow it to maintain consistent internal states in response to the outer environment. It includes physiological needs such as appropriating body temperatures and indicators of hunger and thirst. A full stomach is only one cue for satiation. Satiation the point in a meal when we are no longer motivated to eat. Hypothalamus detects changes in the level of glucose.
