Although conception is far more likely at certain times, she may be able to conceive at any time during month. While conception is more likely during certain parts of month, it may not always occur during that time. Indeed, avg woman takes ~ 6 months to conceive. Means by which addition to family is brought about. Process by which sperm & ovum male & female gametes/sex cells combine to create single cell = zygote -> duplicates itself again & again by cell division to produce all cells that make up baby. At birth, female has ~ 2 million immature ova in her 2 ovaries, each ovum in its own small sac/follicle. In sexually mature woman, ovulation occurs about once every 28 days until menopause.
