Genome refers to the complete set of genes an organism possess. Human genome= 20000-30000 genes and all genes located on 23 pairs of chromosomes. Nucleus of each cell within the body contains two complete sets of human genomes, one from mother and other from father. 100 trillion copies of our genomes within our bodies. Human genomes project is dedicated to sequencing the entire human genome identify the particular sequence of. Human genomes possess similar number of genes estimated for mice and worms, the manner in which genes get decoded to protein is far more variable than other species. Protein coding genes make up about 2% of the genomes and the rest is called genetic junk and has impacts on everything, from a persons physical size to personality. Most of genes are the same of each individual, but only a small amount is different genes that differ influence physical characteristics along with behavioural characteristics that define human personality.
