Jupiter sends a flood to wipe out humanity (bible) deucalion and pyrrha survive because they are pious. Themis tells the 2 to repopulate the earth (cid:271)y dese(cid:272)rati(cid:374)g their (cid:373)other"s (cid:271)o(cid:374)es. Deucalion knows that mother means earth, and people are created from the stones he throws.
