Public crime knowledge is learned from media coverage of highly publicized cases. Habitually aggressive behaviours are learned in homes where parents are violent and children are victimized. Criminology: scientific approach to the study of the nature, extent, cause, and control of criminal behaviour. Criminologist: one who brings objectively and method to the study of crime and its consequences.
