When we talk about social change, they lead to but are also consequences of social movements. Cause for social movement but aslo a consequence for social movement- cycle. Routine collective actions tend to be nonviolent and follow established patterns of behavior in bureaucratic social structures. Non-routine collective action tends to be short-lived and sometimes violent (mob, riot, panic) Routine means something not spontaneous, something that is organized and is something that involves effort over a long period of time.
