Disability can be defined as: a lack of ability, inability, incapacity, or weakness or an instance of a lack of ability. A mental or physical condition that limits a person"s movements, senses, or activities. Incapacity in the eye of the law, a restriction framed to prevent any person or class of persons from sharing in duties or privileges which would be open to them otherwise. Describing disability in terms of lack reflects the individual model which sees disability as an isolated problems for individuals it focuses on a disability as what is wrong with the individual. Describing disability as a condition reflects the medical model which sees disability as a functional limitation that is determined physiologically or biologically. Individual pathology, deficit, and medical treatment are emphasized. Framing disability as a legal definition defines them as having an impairment that affects the individual"s ability to do normal everyday activities. The disabled people international"s makes a distinction b/w disability and impairment:
