Christians believed wet dreams, sexual dysfunction, and sexual lust were seen to be caused by witchcraft. Muslims believe sexuality is regarded primarily as a source of pleasure. Mass media in north america today may plat the same role religion did previously. Canadians are influenced by canadian programs and maybe more by american prime- time television. References to safer sex are rare but increasing. Perhaps the most powerful mass media influence. Has the potential for both positive and negative effects on sexual health. Culture: traditional ideas and values transmitted to members of the group by symbols.
