Collected via paper questionnaires, interviews, online, etc. Direct observation: a behavioural measure in which the scientist directly observes the behaviour being studied and records it. Eye-tracking: a behavioural measure in which a device measures the participant"s point of gaze over time. Only represented cases reported to police, while many incidents are not reported. Implicit association test (iat) measures relative strength of association an individual makes between different pairs of concepts through reaction time: react more quickly to concepts we associate strongly. Genital measures of sexual responses assess arousal by using devices that measure erection in men and vaginal changes in women. Mri used to look at anatomy and fmri used to look at brain activity.
