Racialize/racialized: concept that allows an understanding of racism that goes beyond overt expressions and discriminatory actions of individuals. Ethnographic method: research method that involves richly detailed descriptions andclassifciations of a group of people or behaviours. Longitudinal study: research method in which data on a group of people are collected over a number of time periods rather than at just one moment in their life race/ethnicity. Little info about canadian race or ethnicity based crimes because no of cial statistics bc most places do not record this. They do write down this in occurrence reports though. This is why they are looking into things like aboriginal gangs in winnepeg. Human rights organizations don"t want to collect info on race bc they said it would be exploitative even though it prevents useful information for researchers.
