How to study: individually: write out mock exam answers (quiz yourself on passages, group: discuss major themes or topics from novels and quiz yourselves. Writing the exam: initial steps: read the passage through fully, reread the passage highlight, underline, and brainstorm initial thoughts, write out brief outline. Allows you to keep track of your argument and give you something to refer to. Allows marker to understand what you"re saying in the essay.
