Must write in apa format (see back of textbook) Title - should be specific and ~10-12 words. Abstract - small print ~150-250 words (be very brief) summary of research report: purpose, given hypothesis, method, results, conclusion. Includes citations go from broad to specific. Hypothesis - try to justify the study you"re about to conduct (usu. Method - provide thorough + detailed account of everything you did in the study, so that someone can replicate your study. Participants - how were they recruited, paid?, relevant info + demographics. Design, materials (new equipm. , test etc) both optional subheadings but info must still be included regardless (in procedure if not in subheadings) Procedure - setting (where conducted), what instructions, etc. (very specific) Results - provide quantitative findings w/o providing explanations for them (describe) Usu. will have table or graph to present data (usu. 1 or the other, not both b/c redundant); placed @ end of report. Refer to it, explain it (analysis only)
