(achievement, dominance, etc. ) People all have same biological motives, but all have different social motives. Insulin secretions play a role in the fluctuations of hunger. Secreted from pancreas: when going w/out food for a while the stomach secretes ghrelin which causes stomach contractions and promotes hunger, after food is consumer, upper intestine releases cck that sends brain signals to stop hunger.
