Two kinds of sexual behaviour are associated with substantial dysfunction: ppl with sexual dysfunction find it difficult to function while having sex. In paraphilic disorders, sexual arousal occurs primarily in the context of inappropriate objects or individuals. Paraphilic disorders now comprise a separate category of disorders in the dsm 5: gender dysphoria has also been separated from sexual disorders. Sexual dysfunctions : three stages of the sexual response cycle desire, aurosal, and orgasm are each associated with specific sexual dysfunctions. Pain can become associated with sexual functioning of women, which leads to an additional dysfunction. Two disorders are sex specific: premature ejaculation, and genito-pelvic pain/penetration. Sd can either be life long chronic condition that is present during a person"s entire sexual life: or acquired disorder that begins after sexual activity has been relatively normal. Disorders can be either generalized (occurring every time sex is attempted) or situational (occurring with only some partners or places)
