The royals speak iambic pentameter, and the highest ranking person onstage speaks rhyming couplets. Set in london at various places of governmental power. Highly controversial for its depictions of its main characters and the conflicts they respond to. King charles iii- assumes the throne after elizabeth ii (his mother) dies. William, duke of cambridge- charles" eldest son and second in line for the crown. Catherine (kate), duchess of cambridge- william"s wife. Prince henry of wales (harry)- charles" second son, known for partying, falls for a commoner jess. Jess- harry"s girlfriend, and a pretty radical republican. Minor characters (who won"t get a description here because they do not drive much of the action but are important to the grandeur of the piece)
