Elections are publicly highly anticipated and are previewed with a great deal of prediction. Prediction polls aim to accurately predict the state of the voting outcome at any different point in an election period. First it must be assessed who will be voting. Can be narrowed by all eligible adults, then registered voters, than voters in previous elections, the further screening. The idea of most official polls is to actually interview the voter, to collect a good amount of data. The size of the sample will determine the margin of error which should ideally land in between 3-5% The higher sample size, the more the error margin decreases. Not being able to reach all of a potential sample. In polling, refusal to participate or not getting the chance to answer. Statistics in polling can be used in a multitude of ways such as actually predicting the outcome, to how various geographical areas vote.
