Form is part of texture (not opposite) Pop artists --- tend to favor commonplace images + impersonal media. *to get at content or meanings of work, usually interpret. Material and the form (size, shape, texture, color) Getting ideas for essays: asking questions to get answers. Old idea = a portrait not only describe the face but also characterizes the personality of the sitter. Now = sitter + artist"s minds conveyed. Still life: a depiction of inanimate objects in a restricted setting, such as tabletop.
