Hip hop wars chapter 5 hip hop demeans women. Hip hop"s sexism is visible, vulgar, aggressive and popular. It is pretty much in every popular mainstream hip-hop song. This vulgar and constant sexism has created an anti-fan base. There are two groups of people who challenge hip hop"s sexism group a= those who use hip hop"s deviance to show black deviance. Members of this group rarely speak about what needs to be done to prevent this discrimination of black women. America from deviant black people and hip hop. They worry that the constant diet of negative imagery of black women will damage black communities. The roots of the degradation of women are in white conservatism. However, just because rose and many of the authors that are in this class point the finger at the evil white conservative, it should not excuse the grotesque sexism that occurs in hip hop. To rose"s credit, she does discuss solution to this problem.
