Each person changes it for the next person after them. Enculturation: the process by which a person learns or acquires his/her culture, usually as a child. Socialization: from an anthropological view a synonym for enculturation. A process by which a person masters their culture. While culture isn"t in human when they"re born, it is when the reach maturity. Children aren"t passive recipients of culture, they are active constructors. Adults cannot display every possible behavior/ describe every rule. Guided reinvention of culture: the process by which individuals, ordinarily children, acquire ideas, concepts, and skills actively by observing the behavior of others extracting meanings and rules in social situations; fully competent members. Guide the learning by providing models of behavior and correction for inappropriate behaviors. Clifford geertz said that culture is necessary to our humanity.
