Determinants are broken into two categories: fixed factors: unchangeable, includes factors like age & gender, modifiable factors: lifestyles, social networks, community conditions, environment, et. The following list of health determinants is adapted from its identification and definition of determinants: biology, behaviors, social environments, physical environment, public- and private-sector programs and interventions, quality health services. Nations differ in the relative importance they assign to addressing the various determinants of health.
