Begins with research questions based of literature/research. Good alternative when there is not enough prior personal research. It can be hard to form your own research questions without prior research. Quick and dirty research research done in a hurry for only one specific purpose. Finding may be unclear, statistically insignificant, or biased. Finding info from a sample and projecting it onto a larger population. Reactions to questions - not just the answers. Good for handling large amounts of info, creating generalizations and projecting it onto the population. It also has value on it"s own, not just enhancing quantitative.
