The middle part of the small intestine is call the jefunum. The last part of the small intestine is call the ilium. Chyme is partially digested feed in the stomach. Chiyme is an acid semi fluid gray pulup mass. Pancreatic juice is secreated by the pancreas a small gland located between the folds of the small intestine. Saliva of ruminants doesn not contain enzymes to help digest the starches. It does contain buffers to neutralize the fatty acid produced in the rumen. The rumen contents are maintained at appo ph of 6-6. 5.
