Class presentations (i. e. , lectures) and supplemental readings will provide you with an introduction to important behavioral concepts and theories. You are expected to come to class prepared to discuss these concepts and theories and to apply them. Class presentations, discussions, exercises, and audiovisual presentations will clarify concepts and theories and help to apply them to examples of organizational life. Experiential exercises will provide the opportunity to identify your own attributes, strengths, and weaknesses regarding important managerial skills (i. e. , motivating, decision-making, leading). The exercises are all designed to make a point. Some may make you a bit uncomfortable because they are designed to encourage you to confront a concept, an issue, or yourself.
