Session time: 5:00-6:30 tuesdays and thursdays, 214 foster hall (2nd floor, enter at either end of the building) Course objectives: to provide an introduction to molecular and cellular biology for students planning careers in science, including medicine, teaching, and research. This course includes essentially the same information you received in high school biology, but in greater depth. Biological sciences 1201 is a general education natural sciences course. General education competency: lsu graduates will employ scientific and mathematical methods and technology in the resolution of laboratory and real-world problems. Please note that the associated laboratory (biol 1208) is a separate course, with different instructors and grading. Teaching philosophy: the best way to learn new information is to expose yourself to it multiple times in different formats.
