Document Summary

The null hypothesis is that the source of the enzyme, the potato, apple, or pear, will not affect the rate of reaction in the experimental group. The alternative hypothesis is that the source of the enzyme will affect the rate of the reaction in the experimental group. We hypothesize that the potato will have the highest rate of reaction followed by the apple and then by the pear. The major trend noticed was that the concentration of benzoquinone increases quickly from t=0 and from t=90 to t=180 the concentration increases to a lesser extent relatively. The importance of these results, was that the concentration of the enzyme increases over time in all of the experiments. The potato had the highest rate of reaction followed by pear and then by apple. The error bars shown do not overlap so there is a significant difference between the three.
