The null hypothesis we formulated was that the substrate concentration would not increase over time. Along with this, we attempted to find that the reaction rate would not increase to a maximum. The main trends in the means our data include an increase in concentration in substrate over time from 0 seconds to 180 seconds. Although we did have a few errors we encountered in the experiment, the trends for trial 2 and trial 3 were very much concurrent and essentially had the same slope. These two trials were the more accurate representations of the alternative hypothesis, stating that the substrate concentration increases over time.
