EDUC 2000 Chapter : Relfective Journals 1 3
Document Summary
Nervously awaiting my two students, i was trying to figure out everything i would do to be the best tutor i could possibly be. I picked up student 1 from the gym as they were doing arts and crafts at 12:15 and dropped her off around 12:40. 2 around 12:40 and dropped her off around 1:15. I figured the best way for the children and i to become familiar and comfortable with one another was to open up the lines of communication. We began by introducing ourselves; student 1 and student 2 both announced their names and what hobbies they enjoyed. I used this information later in the lesson to determine what would keep them interested. Using previously taught information; i began making a ten lesson. In order to access each student"s knowledge of numbers, i began with having them count out loud to ten. Once the students mastered this task, i incorporated adding numbers together to get to ten.
