Document Summary
In current times almost all high school students are taught they must attend a four-year university. Students have it drilled into their heads every day. They are taught to attend a university, receive a degree, and become successful. Besides teachers young adults are also pushed by society to attend a four-year university. Society believes that anything less than this is unacceptable. Yet, a four-year university is not always the right decision for every young adult. There are many other jobs and opportunities to be successful. Some students might be better suited to go learn a trade or skill. Yet, these students are not informed of these other opportunities. That is why i propose that students are presented these options more frequently and thoroughly in high school. Through this paper i will strengthen this proposal and outline the current problems and how this simple solution will solve these problems.
